INTRODUCTION The University of Washington (UW or the University) is one of the nation’s most distinguished educational and research institutions and has one of the nation’s most beautiful campuses. The UW is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified design-build teams (which may include join ventures) to design and construct the Padelford, Triangle, Central Parking Garage Renewal project. The University is utilizing the Design-Build alternative public works contracting procedure authorized under chapter 39.10 RCW, where the Design-Builder will be selected primarily on the basis of qualifications for the procurement, design, and delivery of the project. PADELFORD, TRIANGLE, CENTRAL PARKING GARAGE RENEWAL PROJECT The project scope includes design and construction for near, intermediate, and long-term repairs and improvements of the following UW parking garage facilities: Padelford Parking Garage, Triangle Parking Garage, and Central Plaza Garage. The scope includes structural repairs to address spalling concrete, and crack injections, new traffic coatings and restriping, waterproofing, repair or replacement of expansion joints, upgrades to sprinkler systems, lighting, conveyance and ADA access. Execution of this work will extend across four summer seasons between 2027-2030. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PROPOSER 1. The ability to assess existing conditions thoroughly and efficiently. 2. Effectively organize and prioritize scopes of work to maximize opportunities to accomplish the greatest amount of repairs work with the available budget cashflow and within the time frame best times to execute the work. 3. Experience with complicated phasing and construction logistics within operational parking facilities and demonstrated ability to mitigate risks. 4. Ability to successfully manage concurrent work in multiple locations. CONTACT DURING SOLICITATION PROCESS Please do not submit questions through Workday Strategic Sourcing. All communications regarding this RFQ should be addressed to Josh Distler, Project Manager, University of Washington Project Delivery Group, +1 (555) 000-0000 or contact@example.gov PRE-SUBMISSION MEETING A representative from each design-build firm that intends to submit a SOQ is strongly encouraged to attend and sign-in at the virtual pre-submission meeting scheduled for November 3, 2026 at 10am. https://washington.zoom.us/j/93986599182
