The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is soliciting bids for a revenue-generating concession contract to sell Illinois Native Firewood at Kankakee River State Park in Bourbonnais, Illinois. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing the firewood and installing an approved sales infrastructure, such as a kiosk, trailer, or firewood stand, at a location determined by the Site Superintendent. The contract includes a primary term starting January 1, 2026, and ending December 31, 2030, with the State holding an option to renew for an additional five years, not to exceed a total term of ten years. The award will be granted to the responsive and responsible bidder who submits the highest total price for all years of the contract, with a minimum annual rent requirement of 400 dollars. Operational requirements include submitting selling prices by March 15th and providing annual Profit and Loss statements by May 1st.
