Skagit Regional Health is soliciting bids for the South Campus Chiller Replacement project located at 300 Hospital Parkway, Mount Vernon, WA. The scope of work involves replacing an existing R-22 air-cooled chilled water chiller with a new water-cooled chiller, installing a new primary chiller pump and condenser water pump, and replacing two secondary pumps. Additional system improvements include refurbishing a rooftop exhaust fan for refrigerant exhaust, upgrading the building automation system, and improving the main piping distribution system. The project requires a valid Washington State Contractor’s License and adherence to prevailing wage laws, OSHA, and WISHA standards. Bidders must submit proposals electronically via Bid Express by December 4, 2026. Submissions must include a bid security of at least five percent of the bid amount, and the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds equal to the full contract sum from a surety with an A.M. Best’s A+ rating or higher. Key deliverables include as-built record drawings, O&M manuals, and completed functional performance tests. The contractor is also required to provide two years of maintenance for the VFD and a one-year guarantee on all equipment and workmanship.
