Project Background: The City of Stillwater (Owner) owns a 36-inch-diameter steel raw waterline that is leaking within the 42-inch steel casing beneath US-64, southeast of the intersection with US-177. Water Utilities investigated the leak using acoustic leak detection equipment. The leak is estimated to be approximately 51-feet north of the south-end of the casing and located within the pavement. The south-end of the casing has been excavated and temporarily backfilled with rock by Water Utilities. The depth of cover for the waterline in the project location is approximately 7- feet. This project is considered an emergency repair and time is of the essence.
