The Pontiac Correctional Center is seeking a vendor for the as-needed rental of a standard 53-foot commercial-grade refrigerated trailer for the temporary storage of frozen and refrigerated food products. The contract allows for a rental duration of up to twelve months, requiring the unit to be capable of continuous 24-hour operation with temperature controls ranging from -10°F to 40°F and a capacity for up to 60 pallets. The selected vendor is responsible for providing a clean, sanitary, and fully operational unit, as well as all necessary routine preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and support to ensure the equipment remains in proper working condition. This small purchase procurement requires the vendor to maintain comprehensive insurance coverage, including one million dollars per occurrence for general commercial liability and auto liability, and two million dollars in annual aggregate liability. Compliance with the Illinois Procurement Code, the State Prompt Payment Act, and prevailing wage laws is mandatory. Invoices must be submitted monthly to the Pontiac Correctional Center Business Office. The contract is subject to the availability of funds and may be partially or totally funded by federal sources.
