The 96 Contracting Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base is soliciting quotes for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to manufacture two large and two small steel blast boxes. The units must be constructed from normalized 4340 steel grade material, utilizing precise slip-fit assemblies of walls and edges. To maintain material integrity, the vendor must avoid processes that dramatically alter material properties, such as torching, and must adhere to dimensional tolerances held to the hundredths. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small businesses under NAICS code 332710. Evaluation of quotes will be based on price and the proposed delivery date, with the requirement that the large blast boxes be delivered first. Shipping is designated as FOB Destination, and the government reserves the right to make multiple awards if deemed in its best interest.
