This contract, awarded by the Department of Defense through the Endist New Orleans office, provides for the remanufacturing of a Manitowoc 2250 crane located at the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Lock in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. The project is designed to address specific deficiencies and recommended actions identified during the most recent annual inspection to ensure the equipment meets OSHA safety requirements. The specific asset is a pedestal-mounted 300-ton nominal capacity crane, serial number 2251062, featuring a 130-foot lattice boom without a jib boom. The procurement was executed as a non-competitive action under FAR 6.302-1, as the government determined there was only one responsible source capable of satisfying the agency requirements. Identified under NAICS code 811310, the contract focuses on restoring the operational integrity of the crane, noting that its current rigging limits its maximum capacity to significantly less than the nominal 300 tons due to constraints with the main hook and line parts.
