41--Refrigerator and Freezer

The Government is not obligated nor, will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award of a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to an acquisition approach. The Department of Veteran Affairs Network Contracting Office 16, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, TX 77030 has a requirement for the following: Purpose: To replace (3) 14-year-old Sub-Zero refrigerators and (2) Sub-Zero freezers in the Fisher House. Since Fisher House is recognized as a commercial building it also ensures public health standards are maintained by allowing house guests and staff to store either personal food or donated food for house guest to consume that has been stored at the correct temperature. Scope: Remove existing (3) Sub-Zero refrigerators and (2) Sub-Zero Freezers from their current respective places (Refrigerators/Kitchen, Freezers/Laundry Room), and replace and install with new like or better (3) refrigerators and (2) freezers. Salient Characteristic: The (3) refrigerators will each be 36 width X 84 height X 24 depth. The refrigerator shall have 23.5 cubic feet capacity, with a door clearance of 37 1/4 . It must be energy star certified, and the electrical plug will be the 3-prong grounding type. It must have a magnetic door seal system that locks in cold air, an interior energy efficient LED lighting, and an anti-microbial air purification system. Refrigerators must accept cabinetry panels of all kinds. It must have four (4) adjustable glass shelves, one (1) stationary glass shelf, one (1) high humidity drawer, two (2) storage drawers, and five (5) door shelves, and a door alarm. The (2) freezers will each be 36 width X 84 height X 24 depth. The freezers shall have 22.6 cubic feet capacity, with a door clearance of 37 1/4 . It must have an electrical plug that is the 3-prong grounding type. It must have a magnetic door seal system that locks in cold air, interior energy efficient LED lighting, with adjustable shelves to maximize convenience. Freezers must accept cabinetry panels of all kinds. It must have three (3) adjustable wire shelves, three (3) storage drawers, and five (5) adjustable door shelves, and a door alarm. Interested contractors are requested to respond in accordance with the following: 1. Please respond to this notice if you are capable of providing the brand name products listed in the above. In the response please cite business size status. 2. Are you the manufacturer or distributor of the items being referenced above (or equivalent product/solution)? 3. Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the NAC? If so, please provide the contract type and number. 4. Please respond to this notice if you are capable of providing supplies that can be determined EQUIVALENT to the products listed above. Please provide details on proposed EQUIVALENT products such as Manufacturer Name, Part Number, and Description. 5. DISTRIBUTORS: You must provide proof that you are an authorized distributor.
