425 Vickers LED Lighting Upgrades

The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board is seeking qualified contractors for solicitation 2026-039 RFT to perform LED lighting upgrades at 425 N. Vickers St., Thunder Bay, Ontario. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment to install LED lighting throughout the building interior and exterior, specifically covering residential units, common areas, stairs, entrances, and outdoor lighting systems. All work must be performed by qualified and certified electricians and completed by December 15, 2026. Contractors are responsible for all permit drawings, engineered drawings, consultant reports, and inspections, and must provide certificates of acceptance from the Electrical Safety Authority prior to final billing. Bids must be submitted electronically by September 30, 2026. Evaluation is based on total cost, though the board reserves the right to refuse any bid and may conduct interviews at its discretion. Award conditions include providing a WSIB Clearance Certificate or Status Ruling. The successful contractor must maintain comprehensive general liability and automobile liability insurance of at least 5 million dollars and ensure all equipment is CSA, FCC, and ULC certified. Compliance with the Ontario Building Code, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act is mandatory.
