THIS IS CONSIDERED A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE TO THE PORTLAND VALVE & FITTING CO BECAUSE THE SWAGELOK HIGH PRESSURE SS TUBING AND FITTINGS ARE CURRENTLY USED IN THE EXISTING FLOW-THROUGH LABORATORY LOCATED IN THE PDD, AND ARE THE ONLY HIGH PRESSURE TUBING AND FITTINGS ACCEPTED FOR USE UNDER THE NETL SARS SYSTEM AND DUE TO THE CRITICAL NATURE OF THE PRESSURE CERTIFICATIONS FOR THESE MATERIALS, IT IS AN ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THIS PURCHASE THAT THE VENDOR SUPPLYING THE SWAGELOK MATERIALS BE AVAILABLE ON SITE (NETL-ALBANY) IF NECESSARY TO CONFIRM THE PRODUCT CERTIFICATIONS, AT NO ADDITIONAL EXPENSE TO THE GOVERNMENT.
