The New York State Unified Court System's Office of Court Administration is seeking bids for designing a new datacenter within its Albany office. The project aims to develop a comprehensive data center design that maintains or surpasses current operational capabilities. The selected contractor will be tasked with creating a datacenter design encompassing a 1,700 square foot area, covering essential components such as layout, utilities, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and IT systems. Key responsibilities include developing datacenter layouts, recommending equipment, providing detailed design documents, ensuring the new design matches the efficiency of the existing datacenter, and preparing preliminary designs for all necessary components. Additionally, the contractor must collaborate with OCA to incorporate feedback during the design process and ensure the facility's scalability for future needs. The contract, set for a period of 18 months, requires that the final design and associated reports be completed within 45 days following contract approval. This project is exclusively limited to the design phase, as the contractor awarded the bid will not be eligible to participate in subsequent solicitations for purchasing and installing the datacenter equipment. The work will be executed at the Albany office, with key dates comprising the bid issue on March 28, 2025, a mandatory pre-bid site visit on April 10, 2025, and a bid submission deadline of April 18, 2025.
