The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility {PSNS & IMF), Contracting Department (Code 400), is issuing this Sources Sought as a means to identify industrial capabilities that might exist in order to support an upcoming requirement for:


  1. 500Kw Generator rental 


Period of Performance Shall Be:


Base Period:  09 NOV 2026 THRU 31 DEC 2026,


Option 1: 1 Jan to 08 NOV 2027




For additional information regarding technical specifications, please refer to the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS).


Based on the received responses, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part), or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), the government intent at this time is for a single award. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing Quotes but the responses will be used to inform the government as to the best means of procuring this requirement.


This is Sources Sought does NOT constitute a solicitation, and shall NOT be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are responses to the sources sought, the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of ANY submission. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future Request for Quote (RFQ) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request For Proposals (RFP), if issued.


Project Background: 
Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) is an industrial complex whose mission is to maintain, modernize and retire the Navy fleet with a vision of on-time maintenance, modernization, and retirement of the U.S. Navy's fleet. The shipyard in Bremerton is the Pacific Northwest's largest naval shore facility and one of Washington State's largest industrial installations. In order to accomplish this mission PSNS utilizes a wide array of material handling equipment including Commercially leased Scissor Lifts. Required Capabilities and technical specs are outlined in the attached PWS.  (Attachment 1).
