This is a sole source requirement pursuant to FAR 6.302-2. Notice of Intent pursuant to FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling Urgency, Western Area Power Administration intends to enter immediately into negotiations on a sole source basis with System 3, Inc., Carmichael, CA +1 (555) 000-0000, to acquire construction services to complete 69kV Bays for the Modesto Irrigation District (MID) at Western?s Tracy Maintenance Facility, Byron, CA. Completion date is mission critical to insure compliance with scheduled power outages. Their prior efforts and knowledge of Western?s facility and related business precludes consideration of any other sources. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS OR AN INVITATION FOR BIDS. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT ANTICIPATE RECEIVING RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE OF A NON-COMPETITIVE ACTION. IF PARTIES CHOOSE TO RESPOND, ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE RESPONDENT AND WILL NOT BE REIMBURSED BY THE GOVERNMENT.
