AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is conducting market research for the anticipated construction of a new two-story, 11,282-square-foot Diagnostic Imaging Center Expansion at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System in North Las Vegas, Nevada, alongside the renovation of 870 square feet of existing space in the Emergency Department to integrate and expand radiology services. The facility will feature state-of-the-art imaging equipment including two MRI units, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound systems, along with administrative and support areas on the first floor, while the second floor will extend the existing penthouse infrastructure. The project requires full construction services including demolition, utility relocation, and site work as outlined in future design documents, with an estimated value between $10 million and $20 million and a projected duration of 480 calendar days following notice to proceed. The procurement will follow either a design-bid-build approach under FAR Part 14 or Part 15, depending on market research outcomes, and the NAICS code 236220 with a $45 million size standard applies. Interested contractors must submit a capabilities statement via email by July 30, 2026, no longer than six single-sided pages in a single PDF under 4MB, including company details, business size classification, bonding capacity confirmation via letter from a surety, and documentation of up to three comparable projects completed within the last seven years. Each submission must specify the project scope, size, value, dates, and building use, and clearly distinguish self-performed work performed by the prime contractor itself—not subcontractors. Responses must include socio-economic status designation and contact information on a cover page and reference the sources sought notice and project title in the subject line. This notice serves only as a market survey and does not constitute a solicitation, obligation, or guarantee of future award; no compensation will be provided for responses, and no feedback will be issued. A formal solicitation, if issued, will be posted on SAM.gov, and respondents are responsible for monitoring that site for future opportunities.
