58--Joint Range Extension Upgrade and Support

The NAVSUP FLCN, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire on an other than full and open competition basis a purchase order for Joint Range Extension (JRE) v3G equipment, Spares Kits, and Help Desk warranty/licenses necessary to support the training of Joint Interface Control Officer students and troubleshoot JRE equipment that the Joint Staff J7, Joint Education and Doctrine Directorate Joint Interoperability Division uses to train. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of FAR 13.501(a). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Engility since they are the only source that can provide maintenance support and telephonic support on JRE equipment, as they are the original manufacturer. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. However, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all information received within seven days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Such information, if submitted, should be forwarded to NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, 700 Robbins Ave., Bldg. 2B, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5083, to the attention of Joseph Maier, Code 290.2K. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based on the responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
