AI Contract Overview

The Department of Defense is conducting a market survey to identify potential suppliers for the AN/VIC-1 Vehicular Intercom System. The government intends to utilize a reverse auction process to award the contract and is seeking sources capable of providing items that are form, fit, and function interchangeable and interoperable with existing systems. Because the government lacks official drawings and specifications, interested suppliers must submit performance specifications, test plans, and supporting data or documentation to prove compatibility. Items may be classified as Commercial Items or Non-Developmental Items, and any necessary modifications to meet government requirements must be detailed in the response. Prospective vendors are required to submit their qualifications and supporting documentation, such as previous purchase orders, to Eleanor Ryan at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. The deadline for all responses is August 4, 2003, and the successful supplier may be required to warrant that the equipment performs satisfactorily for the Army's intended use.
