The U.S. Army is conducting a market survey to identify qualified sources for the fabrication of front panels for the CP-1252C Computer Display Unit, part of the AN/ASN-128B Doppler/GPS Navigation Set. The requirement consists of 500 units over a five-year period, starting with an initial base year purchase of 50 units. The front panel must feature a four-line LED display capable of showing 64 alphanumeric characters, a 20-key keyboard, an illuminated panel with two rotary switches, two brightness dim switches, and a failure light indicator, all housed within an aluminum frame. All lighting must comply with MIL-L-85762 radiance requirements, and the panels must interface correctly with the CP-1252C housing unit to display outputs from the Signal Data Converter and the Receiver-Transmitter Antenna. Because the government lacks a complete technical data package, interested parties must possess extensive experience in Doppler navigation design to meet the Army's specifications. Written responses detailing the ability to fulfill these requirements must be submitted to the U.S. Army CECOM at Fort Monmouth, NJ, or via email to Dylan Chung by November 12, 2004. Telephone inquiries are prohibited, and the contract award is anticipated for the second quarter of fiscal year 2005.
