The Bureau of Reclamation plans to execute a sole-source procurement with Lotek Wireless, Inc. to obtain specialized tracking equipment under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as only one responsible source is believed capable of meeting the agency’s specific requirements. The equipment is designed to track over 200 fish simultaneously on the same frequency and includes various components such as scanning receivers with manual tracking and data logging capabilities over the 148-152 MHz frequency range, multiple antennas including folding and Yagi types, and a compact coded transmitter. This procurement is conducted through the Simplified Acquisition Procedures with a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition supporting this sole-source action. While the Government intends to proceed with Lotek Wireless, Inc., it invites any other capable firms to submit a written notification and supporting evidence within seven days to demonstrate their ability to meet the detailed equipment requirements. Responses are to be submitted by fax only and must include firm size classification, DUNS, and TIN information. The Government will consider any submissions solely to determine whether competition is warranted, but the final decision to forego competition rests with the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes, and inquiries are directed exclusively to the contracting officer named in the documentation.
