The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division located in Lakehurst, New Jersey, is seeking to procure three MPDB Accessory Sets, three Smart AWA units, and software updates for the H2000 Test Set to support the E-2 Program. These specific parts and software are essential for maintaining and enhancing the program’s operational capabilities. Due to the absence of government-owned specifications or drawings, full and open competition is not feasible. As a result, the procurement is planned under a sole-source authority, with Northrop Grumman Corporation, the original equipment manufacturer, deemed the only qualified source with the necessary expertise and technical data to deliver within the required schedule. The contract is a presolicitation and no formal solicitation package will be issued. However, all responsible sources are invited to submit proposals, which the government will consider when deciding whether to proceed with a competitive process. Ultimately, the decision to limit the procurement to a sole source rests with the government. The contracting office responsible for this opportunity is based at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey, with Jennifer L Vaccaro serving as the point of contact for interested parties. This procurement underscores the government's need to acquire specialized hardware and software quickly from the only known capable supplier.
