This contract announcement pertains to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) specifically for information and planning purposes related to nurse call systems. It is not a request for quotes nor does it obligate the VA to enter into any contract or pay for costs incurred by responders. The purpose is to gather insights from industry participants and facilitate an Industry Engagement Day hosted by Network Contracting Office 15 and the Harry S. Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri. On March 28, 2016, interested vendors are invited to provide brief presentations about their nurse call systems during a scheduled session, with a 30-minute presentation slot followed by a 15-minute question and answer period. Participation requires prior scheduling with the Contracting Officer, Eric Murray, and late or walk-in requests will not be accepted. Questions related to the RFI can be submitted in advance by March 24, 2016, with responses to be provided via amendment on FedBizOpps.gov or at the Industry Engagement Day. All information submitted will become the VA’s property. This initiative is intended to help inform potential future procurement efforts but does not restrict vendors from responding to any eventual requests for quotes. The overall objective is engagement and information sharing to better understand the offerings in nurse call system technologies for VA facilities.
