The Department of Defense, through the Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate at Fort Belvoir, is conducting a worldwide market survey to identify vendors capable of providing third generation staring format long wavelength focal plane arrays on low cost substrates. The government requires non-developmental items with a format of at least 256x256 that are available for immediate procurement upon a signed agreement. Interested vendors must possess extensive experience in focal plane arrays and maintain sufficient fabrication and testing facilities to support pre-production testing and limited procurement. To be considered, respondents must individually address the technical requirements and provide data from prior testing to prove the items are non-developmental. All responses must be submitted to Dr. Whitney Mason at the specified Fort Belvoir address by the close of business on April 8, 2005. This sources-sought effort aims to ensure that selected vendors can meet the rigorous testing and delivery standards required by the US Army.
