SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston intends to award a sole source, commercial Firm Fixed Price contract to Stratos Optical Technologies for the procurement of specialized supplies. Stratos Optical Technologies was selected as the sole source because they are the manufacturer and hold the proprietary rights to the necessary designs and materials. The scope of the procurement includes a wide array of fiber optic components, such as RFID fiber distribution panel kits, tool kits, various hybrid multi-application fiber pigtails, active bulkhead converters, and expanded beam technology modems. Additionally, the contractor will provide test set kits, LC jumpers, adapters, and loopbacks in both single-mode and multi-mode configurations. This effort falls under NAICS code 335921, with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
