Full Description

NA The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD),has a requirement for(11)each Magnetic Sensors #MUWS3PF with the option to purchase up to an addtional (20)each,which it intends to purchase on a sole sole basis through Ultra Electronics Limited. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The sensors are to be used as exact spare/replacement parts for the Forward Area Degaussing and Acoustic Range (FACDAR) System which NSWCCD originally purchased from Ultra Electronics Limited, Magnetic Division under contract N00167-95-C-4010. Ultra Electronics is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and and possess proprietary rights for the MUWS3PF design. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. All responsible sources subm itting offers will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
