The 60th Forward Support Squadron at Travis Air Force Base is preparing to procure HEAD ski and snowboard equipment to support Morale, Welfare, and Recreation services, with a planned award on or about September 4, 2026. This action is a pre-solicitation notice, meaning no formal quotes or proposals are being requested at this time, though a Request for Quotation (RFQ) with firm-fixed-price terms is expected to follow, evaluating submissions based on technical capability and price. The procurement is designated as noncompetitive, specifically targeting HEAD as the sole source due to the squadron’s existing training, certification, and in-house repair infrastructure tailored to this brand, along with the need for direct manufacturer warranty support. Only suppliers authorized to provide the specified HEAD equipment are eligible to respond to the upcoming RFQ. The contracting office, located at 350 Hangar Avenue, Building 549, Travis AFB, CA, is managed by TSgt Hunter Losen and Contracting Officer Vitaliy Kim, with the NAICS code 339920 indicating the scope relates to other sporting and athletic goods manufacturing. The pre-solicitation was posted on August 5, 2026, with a response deadline of August 12, 2026, for any preliminary feedback, though the formal solicitation will follow thereafter.
