This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) webpage located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 335911, 500 employee size standard. NOTE: THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to procure on a sole source basis from C&D Technologies, Powercom Division, 1400 Union Meeting Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422-0858 the following: 240 each C&D Technologies Liberty 1000 Batteries, Model LS2-600. This re! quirement also includes de-installation and proper disposal of the old batteries; installation of the new batteries; and testing and PM on the new batteries. In addition, at the end of each day of work the UPS must be put back on line and operational for the evening hours. These batteries are being procured on a sole source basis in order to guarantee uninterrupted service during the replacement. All items need to be delivered FOB Destination to the NSWCDD. Provide an estimated delivery date or lead time on the quote. (How many days? Weeks? Etc.) The order shall be a firm fixed price purchase order.
