NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS), Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 intends to solicit one source for the purpose of awarding this contract to the sole source vendor for refurbishment/repair of QTY 2 EA , NSN: 4Y-6105-01-076-0568; secondary prop motor (SPM) using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, contracting procedures. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.103-1.  This is a sole source requirement with RMC 3R: Acquire, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources.  It has been  determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data.  It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part.  This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights.    In conjunction with the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS),  the requirement and subsequent award shall be rated “DX".


The terms and conditions of Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-23-G-4303 shall apply to this requirement and  pending delivery order.  The highest level of security required is confidential as designated and required on DD FORM 254
