The United States Military Academy at West Point intends to award a sole source contract to Monaco Enterprises Inc. for the installation of a new Monaco addressable fire alarm and voice evacuation system in Washington Hall. This system is proprietary and uniquely compatible with the existing Monaco receivers installed at the West Point fire station, which currently monitor all public buildings on the Academy's campus. Due to this exclusivity and integration requirement, no other suppliers or products meet the agency’s needs. The estimated contract value is $490,000, and the award process follows statutory authority permitting non-competitive acquisition when only one responsible source is available. This contract falls under the North American Industry Classification System code 334290, with a size standard of 750 employees. The Department of Defense is managing this award through its office at West Point, New York. This notice clarifies that the announcement is not a solicitation or request for quotations but rather an official notice of intent to proceed with a sole source award. The proprietary nature of the system ensures continued interoperability and consistent monitoring of fire safety across all public buildings within the US Military Academy.
