The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 8, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under the authority of FAR part 12.102(a). The associated NAICS code for this service is 334290 with a size standard of 800 Employees and PSC Code 6350. The identified vendor is Professional Communications, Inc., as the equipment manufacturer's authorized representative. Professional Communications Inc (PCI) is the sole service provider for Puerto Rico and will provide all necessary efforts to install per the manufacturer s specifications. This is to comply with the requirements of VHA directive 2009-004 and TJC regulations. A service contract for four months is anticipated and shall be awarded. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, a factory-certified field service technician from PCI is required to provide software and equipment installation and support services, which may consist of software updates, troubleshooting, remote troubleshooting, training, and re-training for users, adjusting, and replacing hardware.
