Full Description

Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Beacon Point Associates LLC. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Spokane VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. Competition Requirements and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Beacon Point Associates LLC 1216 SW 4th St. Ste 4 Cape Coral, FL This acquisition is being processed as a Single Source requirement IAW FAR 13-106.1(b)(1). The Spokane VAMC has 1288 HD Camera s & Coupler units that are already in use and that are only compatible with equipment that the Spokane VAMC already has. These Camera s & Coupler units are critical to the facility and not having these products available will have a direct impact on patient care. If products were purchased from another company, new equipment would also have to be purchased or leased to make sure everything is compatible. The cost and time of acquiring new equipment far exceeds the cost and efficiency of continued use of existing products. Also, Beacon Point Associates are the only authorized SDVOSB distributor that Stryker Endoscopy has and they re familiar with the delivery schedule and use of these critical items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339113 Surgical Appliance & Supplies Manufacturing and the size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
