65--NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Electrosurgical Unit

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Charleston, SC intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Geo-Med, LLC, 1525 International Pkwy, Suite 3071, Lake Mary, FL 32746-7646. Geo-Med, LLC will provide the ConMed System 5000 Electrosurgical Unit (ESU) to the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, 109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC 29401-5703. This requirement will be sole sourced due to the fact that Geo-Med, LLC is the only authorized Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) distributor of ConMed Advanced Surgical and ConMed Linvatec Orthopedic product lines. This relationship is exclusive and no other SDVOSB vendors are authorized to market, quote or sell ConMed Advanced Surgical or ConMed Linvatec Orthopedic product lines. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,250 Employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00 P.M. EST, July 27, 2017 to: contact@example.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
