The VA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Ardiem Medical, Inc. 1125 Wayne Avenue, Indiana, PA 15701, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1; for the purchase of Surface Universal External Control Units. This technology was developed by the VA Center for and is necessary for their continued research efforts. This notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet this sole source requirement by contacting the Contracting Office no later than Monday, August 29, 2011, noon (EST). Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at contact@example.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. It is the Government's belief that at this time, only one source is capable of providing these UECU's in order to satisfy agency requirements. VA will consider any interest & capability statements received; however, the final determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement is solely within its discretion.
