6515--Equipment: Adult Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) Probe

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Network Contracting Office 8 in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business to supply one adult transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) probe under a firm-fixed-price contract set aside exclusively for SDVOSBs. The equipment must be a brand-name or equal product, including all necessary cables, connectors, mounting accessories, and manufacturer-required components, and is intended for use at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida, to support growing structural heart procedure volumes and maintain clinical imaging standards. The probe must feature full technical capabilities including 2D imaging, real-time 3D (Live 3D/xMatrix), color Doppler and flow imaging with one-beat acquisition, high-frequency broadband operation, multiplan steering from 0 to 180 degrees, four-way tip control, anteflexion/retroflexion, left/right flexion, temperature sensing, and a frequency range of 8–2 MHz, with precise physical dimensions of a 1.5 cm x 3.5 cm tip and a 1.0 cm x 100 cm shaft. The probe must be FDA-cleared via 510(k), fully compatible with the existing Epic 7 ultrasound system (serial number US516B0669), and integrate seamlessly with current imaging software and PACS workflows. The contractor must provide operator and technical manuals with detailed cleaning and high-level disinfection instructions, perform physical connection and system configuration with testing and validation, and ensure all items conform strictly to contract specifications. All responses must comply with stringent socioeconomic requirements, including verification of SDVOSB certification in the SBA database and a formal certification of compliance with limitations on subcontracting per 13 CFR 121.406(b) and 125.6, where only other certified SDVOSBs are considered similarly situated.
