The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is conducting a sources sought request for information (RFI) to identify qualified suppliers capable of providing oncology reagents for the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System. This RFI, issued under FAR 15.201(e), is strictly for market research and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract. Respondents are asked to provide detailed information on their business size classification under NAICS code 325413 (1,250 employee size standard), including whether they are a small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, HUBZone, woman-owned small business, or large business. They must also confirm if they are the manufacturer or distributor of the requested items, disclose the country of origin, and detail whether any modifications, assembly, or alteration occur if acting as a distributor. Additionally, vendors must indicate whether they hold any existing federal contract vehicles such as GSA FSS, NAC, or NASA SEWP and confirm whether the required reagents are available under those contracts. Technical requirements focus on oncology reagents capable of detecting wild-type and mutated genes in DNA samples derived from whole blood or bone marrow using RT-PCR or High-Resolution Melting (HRM) analysis. Reagents must quantify DNA via optical density at 260 nm, enable dilution to 5 ng/µl in 1x TE buffer at pH 8.0, support qPCR with 25 ng of purified genomic DNA, achieve a minimum limit of detection of 0.061%, and remain stable during storage at -15°C to -30°C with a minimum shelf life of one year upon receipt. While the Ipsogen JAK2 MutaQuant Kit is provided as a descriptive example, vendors may propose equivalent products, provided they submit clear, compelling, and convincing evidence of parity in performance. Pricing information is requested solely for market research, and all submissions must include the company’s DUNS number, contact details, and full compliance documentation. Responses are due by May 1, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time via email to the designated Contract Specialist and must not be submitted through any other means. No formal evaluation factors, contract clauses, or award mechanisms are included, as this is not a competitive solicitation—any future contract will be announced separately, requiring a new and independent response
