This is a notice of contract action (NOCA). This is not a solicitation for quotes. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this NOCA or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this NOCA is to notify industry of the VA s intent of contact action and possibly gain knowledge of other potentially-qualified sources and their size classifications. Notice of contract action: Miami VA Contracting intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price contract under FAR part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to GE Healthcare for the purchase of Venue Version R2 Ultrasound. The estimated value of the acquisition is $52,096.50. Vendors who believe they can meet the requirements should submit a capability statement, providing clear and convincing evidence supporting the assertion. Possible reported alternative machines must be FIPS certified and include unique features that are reportedly exclusive to the R2 machine specified (geared for intensive care units, machines must facilitate common measurements of heart and lung functions, such as B lines, VTI and auto IVC).
