Good day, SDVOSB s, VOSB s & SB's Pre-Solicitation Name Brand or Equal This Sources Sought is issued solely for informational and planning purposes only.  It does not constitute the issuance of a solicitation or a promise to issue solicitation in the future. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified SB and large businesses. This is not a request for bids, quotes, offers, or proposals. The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic status such as a SDVOSB set-aside if feasible.  If insufficient SDVOSB responses are received to establish the basis for setting this requirement aside for SDVOSB s, the requirement may be solicited as a VOSB or a SB set aside, if no or not enough small business responses are received, this may be solicited as unrestricted, all interested parties responding shall be eligible to compete. Bill Young Veterans Medical Center located at 10000 Bay Pines Blvd. Bay Pines, FL. 33744, is requesting additional equipment that includes Ellex Absolu Ultrasound System and associated probes, software, and accessories Brand Name or Equal. 2.Background: Surgery Service requests replacement of the existing ophthalmic ultrasound equipment with a new Ellex Absolu Ultrasound System and associated probes, software, and accessories Brand Name or Equal. 7. Salient Characteristics: Must be a fully integrated dedicated ophthalmic ultrasound platform capable of supporting posterior segment, anterior segment, and biometric ocular imaging from a single console without external third-party modules. Must support simultaneous compatibility with 15 MHz B-scan, 20 MHz annular B-scan, 50 MHz high-resolution linear probe, and A-scan biometry probes on one native manufacturer platform. Must allow plug-and-play probe interchangeability between all supported probes without requiring software reload, hardware adapter changes, or system reboot. Must provide a compact cart-mounted console configuration designed for movement between exam lanes and procedure rooms.
8.Imaging / Probe Requirements: 5. Must include a 15 MHz posterior segment B-scan probe optimized for retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, tumor, and opaque media imaging. 6. Must include a 20 MHz annular probe utilizing concentric ring transducer to provide enhanced depth of field and high-detail ocular imaging. 7. Must include a 50 MHz linear high-resolution probe for ultrasound bio microscopy (UBM) and anterior segment imaging of cornea, iris, angle, ciliary body, and lens positioning. 8. Must provide real-time high-resolution imaging with freeze, cine review, caliper measurement, and image annotation functions. 9. Must provide image penetration through dense cataracts, corneal opacity, and vitreous hemorrhage.
9. Biometry Requirements: 10. Must include integrated A-scan biometry capability for axial length measurement and cataract surgery planning. 11. Must provide IOL calculation capability or exportable biometric data for lens power planning workflow.
10. IT / Network Requirements: 12. Must include native DICOM connectivity for image transfer to PACS/EMR systems. 13. Must support USB/network export of images and reports. 14. Must store patient exams on internal system database with searchable recall capability.
