Full Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No Solicitation package is available and telephone requests will not be honored. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price sole source award to obtain 5 Embletta MPR sleep systems to include web training located at the VAMC West Roxbury MA. Natus Medical Inc. located at 6701 Koll Center Parkway, Suite 120, Pleasanton, CA 94566 is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for this equipment. Natus Medical is the only vendor that will be able to provide equipment and training as the Authorized Service Provider. This is a Brand Name Only requirement due to existing proprietary software that has been established. Since the intent is to procure these services on a sole source basis, no solicitation will be posted to Contract Opportunities. The applicable North American Classification System Code is 334510 Manufacturing electromedical and electrotherapeutic apparatus . The FSC/PSC is 6525. The authority for applying the Simplified Procedures for Commercial Items of FAR 13.5 is 41 U.S.C. 1901 and is implemented by for restricting competition on this procurement via FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). Interested parties may identify their interests and capabilities may respond to this requirement by September 11, 2020 at 9:00AM (EST). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
