Introduction:
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued for conducting market research. This RFI constitutes neither a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), nor a guarantee that one will be issued by the Government in the future; furthermore, it does not commit the Government to a contract for any services described herein. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is not, at this time, seeking proposals or quotes, and therefore, will not accept, review, or evaluate unsolicited proposals or quotes received in response hereto. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government intend to pay for any information submitted because of this request. The Government does not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested or reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI.

Requirements:
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) requires the ZeissÂ® FORUM Image Digitization System: Ophthalmic, a brand name image digitization and management platform used to acquire, digitize, store, view, and print ophthalmic images. The system will support clinicians across VA medical centers and facilities in managing images produced by fundus cameras, fluorescein angiography devices, and other ophthalmic imaging instruments. Quantity will be specified in the solicitation s line-item schedule. ZeissÂ® FORUM Image Digitization System: Ophthalmic is designed to acquire and digitize ophthalmic (e.g., fundus camera, fluorescing angiography) images for viewing, storage, and/or printing. The imaging system typically consists of a digital camera, usually in the form of a microchip (a charge-coupled device [CCD]); digital processors for image enhancement; electronic recorder storage (e.g., CD-ROM); and printers.
