The Naval Research Laboratory plans to award a contract to ETS Lindgren, LP for the refurbishment and reconfiguration of an existing small rectangular electromagnetic chamber facility located at NRL-DC. This contract will be awarded on an Other Than Full and Open Competitive basis because ETS Lindgren is the original manufacturer and supplier of the chamber's anechoic materials. Their unique position ensures that the refurbishment will maintain structural compatibility with the existing electromagnetic chamber capabilities without the need for extensive structural analysis and testing, thereby reducing costs for the Government. The project, titled "66 -- 20 ft Rectangular Chamber Conversion," was solicited under number N00173-05-Q-6008 and aligns with NAICS code 334290. The elimination of additional analysis and testing is expected to save costs that cannot be recouped through competitive bidding. The contracting officer handling this procurement is Patricia A Lewis, who can be contacted via email or phone for further details.
