The Department of Veterans Affairs, through Network Contracting Office 22, is soliciting tissue processors under solicitation number 36C26226Q0810 for use across six VA medical centers in VISN 22, including Greater Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego, Loma Linda, Long Beach, and New Mexico. The requirement is for twelve (12) Tissue Tek VIP6 AI tissue processors, each paired with a dedicated uninterruptible power supply (UPS), designed to meet specific technical standards: a minimum capacity of 300 cassettes per run (600 total when using two instruments), dimensions no larger than 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep, single-phase 115 VAC power at 50/60 Hz and 12 A, compatibility with existing Sakura Tissue-Tek embedding centers, and UPS units providing at least 20 minutes of power during outages with a minimum of four 120 V outlets.
