AI Contract Overview
This contract involves the repair and modification of eight digital T converters, identified by NSN 7H-7050-016634143, for the Department of the Navy's Navsup Weapon Systems Support Mech. The current agreement, held by W R Systems Ltd under a firm fixed price structure, is valued at 146,077.66 dollars and is expected to end on November 17, 2026. Due to the government's lack of ownership over the necessary technical data and the impracticality of reverse engineering the parts, the procurement has historically been non-competed. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1, though it is open to receiving capability statements from other responsible sources to determine if competition is viable. This opportunity is classified as a likely recompete with medium confidence. Interested parties can access standardized military and federal specifications through the DoD Single Stock Point, although specific patterns and drawings are not available there. The procurement is not being conducted under FAR Part 12 for commercial items.
