The United States Postal Service is seeking a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution designed to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of selecting and classifying products and services within their electronic purchase requisition system. This solution must support the use of the United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (UNSPSC) to categorize commodities, route requisitions appropriately, and increase visibility into spending across the enterprise. The preferred product will enable users to input product or service descriptions that help accurately assign the correct UNSPSC code, including up to four levels of classification, within the USPS’s electronic requisition platform (e-Buy). Additionally, the solution should incorporate a learning algorithm to continually improve the classification process's accuracy and efficiency over time. This solicitation is informational only, with no formal solicitation currently available. Interested suppliers are encouraged to submit product information directly via email or postal mail to the designated contact person within USPS’s IT Category Management Center. The effort falls under NAICS code 519190, and the point of contact for this opportunity is Cindy D. Miller, Purchasing & Supply Management Specialist. The initiative underscores USPS’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology solutions to streamline procurement processes and enhance operational oversight.
