70 -- LabVIEW Licenses

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), proposes to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) with National Instruments, 6504 Bridge Point Parkway, Austin, TX 78730-5039 to provide the LabVIEW Software Subscription Program for 123 existing LabVIEW software licenses, for one year for NIST and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) in Boulder, CO. The contract agreement also includes discounts for training, new LabVIEW licenses, and software toolbox add-on purchases. The National Instruments LabVIEW is a software programming system currently used by over 100 NIST researchers to assist in laboratory data acquisition and control, scientific instrument communication, data analysis and data presentation that serves the missions of their laboratory and the agency.***This procurement is being conducted per FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items (NTE $100,000). This synopsis is issued for information only. Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether or not use of competitive procedures to fulfill this requirement would be in the Government's best interest and must address qualifications pertinent to this requirement.
