DESCRIPTION: The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with Pacific Wave Industries, Inc., 129 Sheldon Street, El Segundo, CA, 90245 for the purchase of four (4) Four Grams of CX2 EO Polymer Materials. CX2 is an electro-optic polymer material. CX2 is a one-of-a-kind patented electro-optic polymer used in the fabrication of RF polymer modulators. It is the state-of-the-art electro-optic material for modular development. This polymer is an integral part of an established polymer modulator fabrication process. Substitution of this electro-optic polymer is unacceptable due to the negative impact on process development for modulator fabrication both in terms of cost and schedule. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received (quote with product specifications) will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This procurement is set aside 100% small business. The NAICS code is 325211. This procurement shall be awarded under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
