70 -- Liberty Speaker Modification

The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Netcentric Services Branch, Hardware/Software Section (DITCO/PL8231), Scott AFB, IL, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Anchor Audio, Inc., 2565 W 237TH ST, Torrance, CA 90505 for the purchase of custom designed proprietary circuit boards for a quantity of 102 LIB-6000H speakers under warranty to include labor costs. The circuit boards provides the ability to input a line level audio signal with a XLR connector, provides a passive XLR output linked from the input signal, and provides the capability of an active XLR output. This purchase is being made for the White House Communications Agency, Washington, DC. This will be accomplished as an acquisition of commercial items in conjunction with the policies and procedures of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (less than $100K). The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements.
