The Headquarters Standard Systems Group plans to award a sole source contract to SanSoft Inc. for the maintenance and technical support of the HQ SSG VUPort Software. This contract covers software maintenance, including updates, enhancements, and modifications released by SanSoft, as well as providing technical support access for end user developers. The award will be made through a Firm-Fixed Price contract for one year under the provisions of FAR 6.302, as SanSoft holds proprietary rights that preclude alternative sources from delivering the full scope of services needed. The services are classified as commercial items and will adhere to FAR Part 12 terms and conditions. Although this is a sole source procurement, the Air Force invites other interested parties to express their interest or submit proposals within specified timeframes—interest or capability statements are accepted within 10 days, and proposals within 45 days of the synopsis publication. Businesses responding should clarify their size, ownership status, and whether they are U.S. or foreign-owned. Responses may be submitted via mail, fax, or email to the designated Contracting Officer, with contact information provided for further inquiries. The procurement falls under NAICS code 541511, with a revenue threshold of $21 million.

Maintenance includes the right to receive and use all updates, enhancements and modifications to the programs licensed, which are released by SanSoft from time to time. Technical support provides end user developers access to our technical support line. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Air Force intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. A Firm-Fixed Price contract for one year is contemplated. The Air Force has determined that the required services are commercial items as defined in FAR 2.101. Solicitation and award will utilize FAR Part 12 procedures, terms and conditions.
