725-6BB-3008- Concrete Project

Caltrans District 7 in Los Angeles has approved an encroachment permit for American Dark Fiber LLC to install underground infrastructure along State Route 2 at postmile 3.57. The project involves cutting 321 square feet of concrete, excavating 24 linear feet of concrete trench and 25 linear feet of asphalt trench, and boring 124 linear feet to place a new 3-inch by 5-inch vault, conduit, and fiber optic cable. All work will be conducted within existing state right-of-way without acquiring new land or relocating any public utilities. Excavations will reach a maximum depth of 42 inches, average 12 inches in width, and extend no more than 163 feet in length.
