The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 4, Louis A Johnson VAMC, intends to award a sole-source delivery order to Aladdin Temp-Rite LLC for the procurement and installation of various Aladdin Temp-Rite re-therm units and related equipment, including convection ovens, docking stations with factory-installed monitoring, reusable tray convection dividers, enclosed transport carts, and spare parts kits. This contract also covers freight, installation of new equipment, removal of old equipment, and employee training. The decision for sole-source procurement is based on the need for compatibility with existing Aladdin equipment already in use at the facility, limited space preventing the accommodation of multiple food delivery systems, and the workforce’s familiarity with Aladdin products, which ensures operational efficiency. Although this notice serves as an announcement of intent rather than a solicitation for competitive bids, interested parties are invited to submit technical and cost information to demonstrate their ability to meet the requirements by August 14, 2013. The procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 8 procedures, classified under NAICS code 335222, with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees. The agency emphasizes that responses will only be used to decide whether to proceed with a competitive process and that submission of information is voluntary. This notice does not constitute a government commitment to purchase and is for informational purposes only.
