Petro-Lud, Inc. is authorized by the California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division to perform a plugback and sidetrack of production well 31, identified by API number 0401905203, located in the Jacalitos oil field in Coalinga, California. The primary objective of the project is to restore economic production rates within the Temblor zone by creating a new wellbore with a total depth similar to the existing one and a bottom-hole location 200 feet from the current wellbore. The operation will be executed by a drilling rig operating 24 hours a day over an approximate four-day period. To minimize environmental impact, all equipment, including pumps, tanks, and cementing trucks, will be restricted to the existing well pad and access roads to ensure the footprint of the well pad is not expanded. The project will utilize approximately 1000 barrels of fresh water sourced from agricultural water wells. This project has been issued a Notice of Exemption dated September 11, 2026, certifying that it is exempt from CEQA environmental review under Class 1, 2, and 4 categorical exemptions for existing facilities, replacement or reconstruction, and minor alterations to land.
