The purpose of this notice is to advise all interested parties that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has decided to restructure the referenced support services acquisitions and combine them into a single acquisition that will support the entire ATC Communications Services organization. The new acquisition will be called Enterprise Communications Support Services (ECSS). It is also anticipated that part of this requirement will be set aside for small business. This change in acquisition strategy was the result of feedback received from industry as well as continuing analysis of the overall scope and approach for obtaining these critical support services. It is the FAA's intent to release another draft SIR for industry review and comment as soon as is practicable.
