The California Institute of Technologys (Caltech) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL),operates under a prime contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA).BACKGROUND: The Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., will host the 21st AnnualHigh-Tech Conference for Small Business on March 3 and 4, 2009 at the Westin Hotel nearLos Angeles International Airport.PURPOSE: The two-day conference will focus on contracting and marketing opportunities forsmall, minority, women-owned and veteran/service-disabled veteran-owned businesses inhigh-tech industries. It includes several "how-to" workshops featuring information onmajor programs, small business initiatives and other topics. Attendees will have theopportunity to meet with approximately 250 corporate, federal, state and city governmentrepresentatives to discuss potential contracting and subcontracting opportunities.
